The ZEIYA journal: Brooches at Australian Fashion Week
Hi Zeiya Fam
So excited to see this article in Vogue Business about brooches being a new luxury starting point.
The article talks about luxury brands recognising that brooches are a way of buying into luxury when prices are pushing even small accessory categories out of reach: a wallet that might once have cost $300-odd is now pushing between $500 and $1,000.
BUT more importantly, it talks about the personal touch that embellishments, such as brooches add to an outfit or an accessory like a bag or a scarf.
The article makes this great point that:
Embellishments offer an accessible way to cultivate a sense of individuality — or, at least, appearing to do so. Consumers are looking for ways to hone their personal style at a time when it is increasingly difficult to do so. “There are a lot of ‘core’ aesthetics emerging,” Hurst says. “It’s nice to have a personal touch.”
I couldn't have said this better myself. Our brooches bring with them a powerful message and are also designed to embower you. To not only uplift an outfit, but to uplift your ENERGY! They also add that personal touch to your style, or to an outfit to allow your to express your creativity, to be bold, to be different.
Because why would you want to be like anyone else? ;)
Love Chloe
